You Might Need New Tires
A golf car doesn’t necessarily need to have special tires to drive through areas of sand. In fact, if you want to drive your golf car through sand, you normally can as long as you lower your tire pressure in your current tires before doing so. Lowering your tire pressure increases your vehicle’s traction, making it easier for your golf car to glide over sand. The major problem with this technique, though, is that lowering your tire pressure will result in flat, deflated tires once you get back on normal roads.
This method can also result in a blowout, costing you more money. An alternative to lowering your tire pressure is just biting the bullet and getting a set of tires that are suited for driving on sand. We recommend getting a set of all-terrain tires.

Your golf car needs a strong motor if you want it to plow easily through sand, because sand does not allow your golf car to take advantage of the momentum. If you find yourself driving through sand pretty frequently, we recommend checking your filters every now and then to avoid sand buildup. A clogged air filter can have a dramatic affect on your golf car’s overall performance.
Keep in mind that saltwater is also incredibly destructive, and can cause your golf car to rust and corrode quicker than normal. To avoid this, it’s a good idea to hose down your golf car after each beach outing.
